Like many schools around the world, keeping everyone safe is our highest priority.  And that means enjoying the great outdoors.  Fresh air is the best place for our kids to stay physically distanced and safe.  At Prueter we are so lucky to have a big beautiful backyard.  We have created areas for every classroom to have.  They will rotate through locations on a weekly basis, but that that will allow everyone some space to have mask-free breathers.

In the past, kids went to school ready for the great Canadian weather.  Over the years, we have been less in touch with the weather.  Now, it is our chance to get in touch with nature again.  This means children should be prepared to go outside in most weather conditions.   Our classroom windows will be open most of the time to allow for fresh air into the classrooms.  This means that children should be ready for warmer classrooms with the afternoon heat and be prepared for colder classrooms during fall mornings and throughout the winter.  Children will need to dress in layers so that they can be comfortable in their classrooms.

It is going to be an adventure.  Too often, as adults the years blur together … but 2020 will stand out for most of us.
